Biography	Maria’s journey with young children began in her own family, caring for younger siblings and relatives in her hometown of Morelia, Mexico. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business but discovered her true calling in early childhood education after years of working with children in various settings, including hotel programs and family camps. In 2023, she substituted a teacher at a school in Los Cabos, where she was introduced to the Montessori philosophy and felt deeply aligned with its values. She went on to earn her AMI Assistants to Infancy (0–3) diploma. Maria joined REDS in 2025 as a Toddler Program Guide and leads the care of the school garden. She is certified in Gardening for Education based on the Montessori philosophy and is passionate about connecting children with nature through hands-on experiences. Outside the classroom, she enjoys yoga, meditation, reading, cycling, and gardening, practices that support her calm and grounded presence with children.
